Clans-Alliance is basically organizing the whole Mohaa Community and more - the entire Gaming Community.
The foundation is there with the start of a NPO(Non-Profit Organization). It gives us security against hackers,
free/discounted servers/ts's/websites. All we have to do is spread the word, help out, donate money or our
time in getting this whole thing launched.
The idea is to provide to Mohaa / CoD / BF2 and any interested gaming clans, an NPO based clan community
that can represent the member clans. This idea started with {*RoP*}^GoA.|Chekotail when he was in DWR
and KINGS clan as a way to make their clans grow. Then it was taken to -{DwR}-GoA.|Hecktic|~C~ who
expanded on it and set it up so that more games than Mohaa could participate. Currently DWR supports
multi clan scrims (ie 4v4v4v4) , custom gaming ladders and tournaments , 100% Anti Cheat in many flavors
(CI, DMW, Rcon Forsight, Reverand, Missionary, PunkBuster, etc.) - and DwR became big enough to create
SGS (gameserverhost company) to help fund resources, that has grown so large that they have expanded
into becoming an NPO. As they created their NPO - WWG (WorldWideGaming) - they have received a lot of abilities.
Well what if someone paid your expenses for you - in other words the NPO will fund your community,
simply if you join the bigger community - the clans alliance. Donating towards the big project is up to you,
but as it is the community is allowed rights as a non profit organization, such as:
- free teamspeaks
- discounts on needed things like forum software
- community expense cuts
- tax exemption and tax write offs
Another great thing about this is that with an organized large community base, everyone knows who is who.
At some point we hope to become as big if not bigger than OGL, TWL, Clanbase, Cal. This can include multiple
ideas: tournaments, leagues, ladders. And an organization that is registered by law has legal rights over the
clans that mess with your servers. In short, this is the startup meeting to frame this organization - so invite
all clans that you know of - for instance, all assets of DWR and SGS will belong to this WWG NFP group.
Any non profit organization - they get certain rights and advantages, one being tax exemption status -
the ability to practically have tax write offs for almost all expenses. That in particular means a potential half
of the expenses come back to the Clans Alliance. By law, an NPO is required to spend all the money on the
organization. Which means more resources are available and more entertainment for the clanners.
We can pay your clan to play online, literally. All we ask is for the community support, to spread the word,
make it grow, organize the community, and make it large and have frequent tournaments - pugs and multi-clan scrims, even.
The first meeting is this Thursday May 11 at 7pm EST at DWR's teamspeak 209.67.216.46:8768 - it will be
passworded at 7:30pm, so if you're late, pm a DWR member for the password.
There is also an IRC channel to idle in - #clans-alliance on gamesurge - the goal is to get more than 100 idlers by Sunday May 14th.
